One of the issues we have found with video intercom door stations is that the field of view is generally in front of the camera which by design is flush or surface mounted on a wall or door frame next to a gate or door.
The DS06M is designed with the camera section able to be rotated providing an adjustable field of view. This allows the intercom to be mounted on a side wall as well as next to the door. Most visitors stand off to the side in front of the door after pressing the door bell and this usually results in the visitor being half obscured or requires the camera design use a fish eye lens to capture as much of the area in front and to the side of the camera as possible.
The DS06M is currently supplied in a matt black all metal vandal resistant case (see vandal resistant video below).

This intercom is perfect for homes and is ideal for exposed areas like fences or at the entrance to your home. The intercom can direct call the App on a PC, iPad, Android Tablet, iPhone or Android phone. It can also direct call any SIP device including Grandstream Multimedia phones. External calls to iphone or Android mobile are possible through a free SIP video service so now can answer your intercom when away from home.
Alarm settings from movement detection, button press, or loss of communications can trigger snapshots from the camera, video record, or http commands. Snapshots can be emailed to you or sent to an ftp server along with video recordings. This function turns the intercom into a standalone surveillance system capturing evidence and taking actions as defined.
The intercom is powered by PoE simplifying cabling. The intercom can control up to 3 output devices such as an electric strike (up to 400mA), a gate controller for electric gates, and lighting. These ae activated through seperate buttons on the App and the icon can be set for the type of action – door, boom gate, light. You can also use the alarm settings to send a http command to a http relay, alarm system, video management system, home automation controller or any other suitable device.
The intercom is ONVIF compliant and the video stream may be recorded to other devices.
This intercom is ideal for business where there is an existing IP PBX system and the intercom becomes another extension. There are 2 SIP accounts and up to 5 different recipients can be called when the call button is pressed. Outdoor control may also be mapped to different phone keys eg. #1 may open the front door while #2 turns on the light.
Use facial recognition to open doors or gates into restricted areas.
Add the Windows Intercom Application to the reception or security guards PC so they can monitor and answer the intercom while working.
Interface the intercom into existing security and monitoring systems providing greater security to your business.
