The VSIR28W30D is a 170m IR illuminator for improving nighttime surveillance performance. This illuminator operates at a Wavelength of 850 nm and has a tempered glass panel & aluminum die-casting housing and is IP66 weather rated, suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

IR Illuminators operate in the Infra-Red light band which is invisible to the human eye but visible to most CCTV systems. The images recorded when in IR mode will be in black and white. Most CCTV cameras have an IR Cut filter that switches the camera to IR mode when visible light decreases below usable level. Most cameras also have low power IR Illuminators built in and an Infra Red Illuminator like these can greatly increase night vision and decrease the power usage of the camera.
