PoE (Power Over Ethernet) is a technology that allows transfer of electrical power, along with data, over twisted pair cables.

Connecting a power supply is a common problem in LAN installations: PoE allows you to power door stations or other equipment via a Cat 5 cable without the need to have a separate power source available. You simply connect a power supply of the required voltage via the 2.5mm DC connector, then tap it where you need it at the other end (no durther than 30m).

Kit includes power input lead with 2.5mm DC socket and power output lead with 2.5mm DC plug.  In some cases you may need to cut the plug off the far end to connect to input lugs
