The Akuvox AK-A13S PIN (SKU: 01262P11) is a commercial-grade, slimline IP access control terminal engineered specifically for narrow architectural spaces. Combining a backlit capacitive touch keypad, dual-frequency RFID reader (125kHz/13.56MHz), and mobile NFC/Bluetooth capabilities, this narrow-profile mullion reader fits perfectly onto standard 2-inch aluminium door frames. Powered via PoE and featuring an integrated Form C relay, the A13S provides standalone or networked smart access control without requiring a bulky footprint.
The Akuvox AK-A13S PIN changes the game for narrow-frame security installations. Standard 86mm square card readers often overlap glass panels or require awkward mounting brackets on modern commercial storefronts. The A13S solves this with a highly compact, vertical mullion footprint measuring just 50mm in width.
Despite its slim profile, it packs the full power of the Akuvox IP ecosystem. It functions seamlessly as a standalone door controller utilizing its internal relay, or links back to your master network via the Akuvox SmartPlus cloud or local SDMC management software. Installers can easily program or diagnose the unit on-site—holding the rear reset button for 5 seconds prompts the integrated loudspeaker to audibly announce the device’s current IP address.
Key Features:
True Mullion Footprint: At only 50mm wide, it mounts directly to standard aluminium door frames and window mullions without glass overlap.
Q: How do I find the IP address of the Akuvox A13S PIN during installation?
A: Power the unit on. Press and hold the physical reset button on the rear panel for 5 seconds. The unit’s integrated high-output loudspeaker will audibly announce the assigned IP address over the network.
Q: What are the default login credentials for the web admin portal?
A: Type the device’s IP address into a local web browser. The factory default username is admin and the default password is admin.
Q: Can this terminal read both older proxy cards and newer smart cards?
A: Yes. The built-in multi-frequency radio reads legacy 125kHz EM proxy cards as well as high-security 13.56MHz Mifare smart credentials.
Q: Can the A13S PIN operate completely standalone without a separate control panel?
A: Yes. It features an onboard Form C dry contact relay, allowing it to store user data locally and switch electronic door locks directly without a secondary access control panel.
